Claymores Soccer Club
Day Four by Tyler Carlisle We enjoyed a morning free of our running session, sleeping in 30 minutes later. A breakfast full of cereal and toast saw us off to our first game of the day against Middlefeld. Before that we headed to the 5 a side field to watch Nicole and her German team compete against the Vale girls. Stuart and I tried to get a German chant going but the trash can turned drum proved to be the more popular noisemaker. Hopes were high for the Middlefield game as we took the field. They came out stronger than us and scored in the first half. In the second half our intensity improved and a goal from Jeff saw us equalize. After the game we went to Subway which had nice seats and bread. We then, returned to the field to watch our neighbors in Fyfe House, Dundee United win a semi-final match. Drowsiness took over the team before our game against Keith as Meritt dozed off for a few minutes. Nevertheless we got ready for our game. They scored rather early but in the end we held them to four goals. Unfortunately we did not manage to find the back of the net. Now everybody is scarfing down pizza after a long day. The Patricks and Cody have talked it up with the German Girls, and everybody else is chilled, getting pumped for the game tomorrow! PS. The seagulls are still annoying. Jeff can't wait until they sleep |
