Footwear
Outdoor
13 & below:- outdoor shoes should be suitable for Hard ground or have the extension MG to the description! This is important as we play on very hard ground and young players experience heel pain, ankle pain, or knee pain from repeated shock from the hard ground.
Recommended shoe:-
Nike 10R O Cara MG
U-14 and Up :- Outdoor Shoes should be made from Calfskin as it is abrasion resistant and dries quickly.
Coach Duncan's top shoes :-
(1) Nike 10R O Escolhido
(2) 14 and over Adidas Copa Mundial
(3) Umbro Xai Premier V FG
These shoes are expensive and only recommended for players whose feet have stopped growing!
Indoor
All of the advantages of shoe material disappear when you go indoors. Shoes should be soccer specific and have a good grip. Spending large amounts of money on an Indoor show will achieve little in performance or shoe life!
